28th April 2005 Windsurfing: Ynyslas Estuary Wind Direction: S Wind Stength: 20-30 knts Surf / Sea State: flat Air Temperature: 10C Sea Temperature: 9C Weather: overcast Max Speed: Distance Covered: Arrived at 11.00am and found it was high tide and howling on the sea front. Only AndyB around, untangling some lines, so thought I'd head down to the estuary for a couple of hours until the tide dropped off. It was straight off shore and gusty but I went out with a 5.0m which was ok but away from the shelter of the dunes I was overpowered. Chnaged to the 4.5m which was better in the gusts but after a while the wind started to drop so with the tide going out and the wind off shore I came in asap. Off to the sea front for the afternoon. |
